Mar. 31st, 2012 10:12 amFind of the month was Anna Dean who writes murder-mysteries set in Regency England, and does so with real wit, a passion for authentic detail and a light hand. I particularly like that Miss Dido Kent, her heroine, is able to indulge her curiosity because, as a maiden aunt figure, she is expected to spend time doing background work that no one notices but which allows her to see all sorts of things (such as nursing servants, visiting elderly ladies in the village who have windows overlooking the murder site, etc). I would really really recommend Anna Dean.
