Ruby Update
Mar. 16th, 2013 10:38 amThe good news... Ruby has only vomited once in the past week though the diarrhoea is ongoing and hideous.
No brain tumours! This is the most important thing.
The blood tests show she does not have a UTI, no gut bugs, normal kidney and liver functions but she tests positive for coeliac disease. There's now a long wait to see the paediatric gastro guy, during which time I will continue to try to get her diarrhoea under control.
I have been limiting gluten over the past week and she is a little better. She has walked a few times, whereas she had previously not been walking at all. She has also laughed a few times and has been happy to sit watching *Play School* for a little while while previously all she did was lie in my arms and say she felt 'wretched'.
On the other hand, she has lost massive amounts of weight and looks like a tiny, walking skeleton. Her hair has also started falling out. She is a very sad little girl.
I continue to feel seriously stressed.
