Ruby's legs

Ruby got her orthotics yesterday and I can already see the difference in the way she stands.

I hope these little shoe inserts will be enough and she won't need leg braces. I tried to see the upside of braces by thinking she would be like Miles Vorkosigan but this just made me freak out because Miles is crazy! Crazy! (Lovable but crazy!).

I am pretty sure that even if she gets leg braces, while Ruby will plausibly grow up to be as awesome as Miles she is unlikely to steal starships, create intergalactic incidents etc :D

Also! Just spoke to Lily, we were planning on meeting at her place on Wednesday instead of mine if that's cool.

Biffling by on network and wanted to say: my mother didn't put me in a brace because she didn't think it would look right. 35 years later my right ankle and knee are still a lot crappier than they needed to be. Thanks for doing right by your kid.

Well, she'll get a leg brace if she needs one. Better she get one before other kids are old enough to notice/judge. Don't think the 2 year old crowd judge too much.
