I made pumpkin pie! It is delicious!
I had it once in school, with a Canadian teacher, but I was perhaps too young to appreciate it. It's much yummier than I remembered.
I totally understand why North Americans use the word 'pumpkin' as an endearment, because, wacky geniuses that they are, they have made it into a sweet sensation. I now lobby for Australians to start using 'beet root' as an endearment as we seem to be the only ones who make chocolate beet root cake.
