Alas, there is one small downside to having a baby. I will be seven months pregnant when Aussiecon comes around. I don't think I can make it. Seven months is when my blood pressure went nuts last time.

So, unfortunately, I have to relinquish my role as art show coordinator and I have to sell my membership. Adult attending memberships are currently going for $310AU and I can sell mine for what it cost - $180AU.

Let me know if you are interested.

Excellent progress on the Norma K Hemming award.

Dr Toby Burrows will be launching an anthology of Norma Hemming's stories at Aussiecon 4. And there will be a performance of her play *The Matriarchy of Renok* with a modified script by Sean McMullen and visual imagery by Lewis Morley before the awards ceremony.

Thanks to Sarah Xu, Sarah Endacott and Bill Wright for working on this.

Is there anyone out there who could do a small art show project for me? Basically looking at a website and copying out email addresses.

I have officially given up on the databases and I am using an Excel spreadsheet. Life is too short for this amount of grief over something so stupid.

So, *Stephbg* has kindly given me the database she used for the 2009 Swancon art show.

It's in Access and I have downloaded Open Office. But I can't open it (presumably because I am a luddite).

I was wondering if someone could show me how to open the database? I mean, seriously, who would have thought this would be so hard?
