I was wondering if someone could come by this week to mind the kids while I clean up the garden a bit?
Both the kids are suffering from some clinginess at the moment. Not surprising, considering Ruby keeps being taken off for horrible medical appointments and Pearl keeps getting dumped with little notice with her grandparents or friends. However, it makes carrying garden rubbish to the bin slightly problematic.
I did a little on the weekend but the pattern was like this:
1, gather leaves into the basket.
2, carry basket through the house to the front area.
3, bring through the kids and strap Ruby into her pram.
4, line the pram up with the bin so Pearl could push it – she is good at pushing but bad at steering.
5, carry the load to the bin.
6, return to the house, remove Ruby from the pram and go back in.
7, gather another load of leaves into the basket.
As you can see, this is not the world’s most efficient way of gardening. If someone could come by to either keep the kids entertained in the house or to accompany them as I walked to and fro, that would be great. I think there’s probably less than an hour’s worth of work to do, if I can do it consistently rather than stopping and starting.
