Christmas

I have really enjoyed Advent this year. Each calendar entry has a note saying with options like sing, make, cook, read and give. The girls really got into it, and seemed to enjoy it, even the give option which I worried would be beyond them. Pearl, in particular, took great pleasure in rummaging through the cupboards for unwanted cans to go to charity.

Leaving the options as broad as this allows me to do very little on busy days (listen to carols on a CD in the car) or a lot (making coconut ice and packaging it up for others).

I am currently watching the Christmas *Due South* episode and feeling very happy.
