Double Indemnity (1944)

I just watched it for the first time - an amazing movie. I loved every part of it. Except for Barbara Stanwyck's insane blond wig.

I definitely noticed an improvement in my participation in this con, compared to recent ones. I got to three panels. Next year, perhaps even more!

The girls behaved pretty well (no widdles on the hotel floor). And they definitely enjoyed the dressing up aspects. Ruby is already planning a red dragon costume for next year.

Sad Puppies and Hugos

I am frankly baffled by the behaviour of those gaming the Hugo system. Their argument appears to be that the Hugos are important and big and in, like, the 1950s were only given to white men. Therefore it is OK to game the system to get a Hugo and this in no way devalues having one or makes it less important or big.

Oh, the irony of destroying their integrity in order to preserve their importance!
