A random list of other things I liked about *Star Wars*:
Although we saw Ren’s nipples, we did not see Rey’s – even when she got wet! I view this as a triumph of feminism and a significant improvement on the prequel movies.
I celebrate the awkward proportions of the actor playing Ren. He has an unusual appearance and shape, which makes me oddly fond of him.
Also lovely to see the short and stout Rose given a major role. So cute.
Glad to see muppet Yoda back and making mischief.
I enjoyed the way the movie saw through the glittering casino town to the world beneath.
I wish the Alliance leader had had the sense to tell her troops what the plan was rather than tell them to sit there and wait to die while she secretly prepared a retreat. No wonder her troops were attempting to run off and she experienced a mutiny.
I enjoyed the fact that Luke wound up in a climate as different to Tattoine’s as possible.
Nice metaphor that the final battle to the death was fought on salted ground.
