Sticking keyboard/hanging computer

emma_in_dreamAny advice on why my Macbook keeps pausing/picking up text I have not highlighted/not putting down all the letters I type?
I see that this is a known problem with Macbooks but I see no advice on repairing it other than removing the keyboard cover if there has been liquid spilled on it (which there has not).
I have 15 gig of memory left so surely that is not the problem?
Any advice?
I am finding it very frustrating using the computer, as virtually every line has to be typed multiple times.
