Vidding help request

emma_in_dreamSo, I would appreciate advice from someone on how to make the ridiculous project I am working on at the moment work. (Not technically but aesthetically).
It's a set of three songvids with the *Wizard of Oz* songs 'If I only had a Heart/a Brain/the Nerve' set for the *X Files* Lone Gunmen.
So obviously Frohike is the lion as he is the one who is always attacking people. It was easy to make a 40 second vid for 'If I only had the Nerve' for him. And, you know, intrinsically funny as he is a teeny weeny man constantly attacking great big people.
And Langley is cast as the smartest and most able hacker in the show, so I could easily do a funny vid for 'If I only had a Brain' for him. I especially liked making a background chorus of chimpanzees banging on computers.
Naturally Byers is the heart or ringleader of the Lone Gunmen. Plus he has the tragic backstory where he had a perfectly normal life until he met Suzanne Modeski, fell in love, lost her to a shadowy Government conspiracy and dedicated his life to finding the truth. His life is almost as tragic as Scully's.* So making his story fit *in tone* is a struggle.
Any advice?
* Scully loses her sister, is estranged from her brother, loses the respect of her peers, her career trajectory, her children, her fertility, her bodily integrity, and gains Mulder and the truth. Byers is estranged from his father, loses the respect of his peers, his job, and his true love, and gains the other Lone Gunmen and the truth.
