Recovering and walking

Pearl and I are now recovering.
Pearl was very bad on Thursday. Her little legs would not hold her up, but, with her usual determination, she managed to get to where she wanted to go. She shouted 'hand, hand' until I took her hands and supported her. Then she demanded 'babbit' so we walked down to see the rabbits in the shed at her grandparents.*
She is doing better today. Still wobbly but at least mobile.
Actually this makes me wonder how long the wobbly toddler gait usually lasts. She still walks with a waddle and falls over if there is even the slightest step up or down (an inch or so). I wonder how long it normally takes for children to start walking like adults, with their legs going forward instead of sideways?
* Pearl is very fond of the rabbits and is being trained to feed them hay and to stroke them gently. She likes to rub her face on their fur, which is very cute, and makes her tendency to pull the cats' tails even more baffling.
