Mad post-partum hair

I have felt rotten for the past few weeks. I thought it was perhaps the hideous weather, with this wretched heat that will not stop.
I thought perhaps it was because we had some bad(ish) news at the routine check up at the State Child Development Centre. Pearl has good tiptoeing, but immature climbing, running and stair climbing. More strengthening exercises - so I bought a small trampoline which she is enjoying a great deal and a little ball which we have been using for 'power girl' (over arm) throws. I find it exhausting to know that we will spend the rest of her life doing this kind of stuff.
Also, Pearl has responded to Ruby's new abilities - she rolls to one side! she waves her legs! - by returning to the biting.
And I have mad post-partum hair. The hairdresser looked at it in horror and asked if I had been straightening it. No, alas, just all the nice pregnancy hormones have fled my body, and I now have sad, sad hormones and terrible hair.
