So, friends, advice on computers.

1, a new Macbook - compatible with what I have now, lots more memory, under warranty.
2, a refurbished second hand Macbook - advantages, a third of the price, compatible.
3, an IBM laptop - cheap.

Thanks for the thoughtful advice. I am definitely going the refurbished route - there are too many other things I would like to do with the money.

Any advice on where get one?
