This is why I can't have nice things

I went to the Picasso to Warhol exhibition today. I liked it - though I find modern art something to appreciate intellectually rather than emotionally.

My favourite was Louise Bourgeouis whose textile work was much more exciting in person than it is in reproductions in books.

My least favourite moments were when Ruby lunged at a Miro sculpture. And when Pearl broke a toy pig at the art gallery store. A $450 ceramic pig.

I just have to accept that I can never go anywhere nice. I just need to accept that.

Decluttering

A friend came by the other day and got really excited about how much space I have now. I do think I have maximised it, and I feel quite pleased.

I can see that maintaining it will involve a Mad Eye Moody-like state of constant vigilance. The kids scored two toys yesterday alone from my parents, both from an op shop and both set to return there within the week.
